Naya and Kostya Lazareva are a duo of illustrators. Their skills round each other out, creating picture books full of love and magic. As a child, Naya decided to become an illustrator of children’s books. Since then she has been mastering her watercolor technique, hoping to shape people’s perception of the world from a very young age. As a professional art conservator, Kostya always has some tips and tricks to improve his wife’s technique. Reviewing the results of their collaboration on Cody the Pony, they decided to work together. In her spare time, Naya teaches children to use their imagination while creating their first pictures, and Kostya masters his skills as an art conservator-restorer. Together they are Bookwood Illustrators, a couple that dedicate their life to art and creativity.

Thomasina Williams grew up in Adelaide, South Australia. She loves to read stories to her daughter. Even more, she loves to read stories to her daughter that were inspired by her own daughter’s imagination. Thomasina has a desire to excel as a children’s author and help children explore their imaginations. Thomasina is mother to a three year old, Clementine, has a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and a Master of Child Play Therapy. She is currently forging a career in providing Play Therapy to children with a disability. Mr Brown is Thomasina’s first book. She took inspiration by her daughter’s wonderful imagination and love of bears. The release of this book comes as Thomasina eagerly awaits the birth of her second daughter.
