Mitch Vane is a RMIT Graphic Arts graduate and has been working as a freelance illustrator for fifteen years - five of them based in London. She lives in Melbourne with her partner who is a writer, and two children. Mitch's work touches all areas of visual communication; cartoons for magazines, book covers, children's book illustrations, work for promotions and packaging in advertising, editorial illustrations and posters. Her cartoons appear regularly in the Age. She also illustrated two Aussie Nibbles by Ursula Dubosarsky, The Two Gorillas and Fairy Bread.

Felice Arena grew up in the small Victorian town of Kyabram. He went on to study at La Trobe University in Bendigo, Victoria. Felice graduated as a primary school teacher, but decided instead to pursue his love of acting and writing. Among other things, he played Marco Alessi in 'Neighbours' for a year; starred in many London West End musicals and made guest appearances on many television dramas as well as presenting a children's TV show. Felice has written many popular and award-winning children's books.
