| Illustrator: Elise Hurst |

Elise Hurst (nee Fowler) is a full-time artist, living and working in Princes Hill, Victoria. Her main work at present is as an illustrator. Elise grew up watching her mother (prominent Melbourne artist Jacqueline Fowler) and many of her relations painting in a variety of styles. Elise says this gave her a head start and she was already painting pastel landscapes while at school. She has won many awards for her artwork. Her previous Lothian books were A Dream of Bunyips Dancing and The Elephants’ Big Day Out, which was shortlisted for the 2003 Crichton Award. |

Robyn Opie is the author of more than 70 published children's books. She has been writing for children for 8 years; most of her books are sold around the world and many have been translated into foreign languages. Robyn lives in Adelaide, South Australia and works full time writing for children. Robyn has always loved writing and reading. She writes children's books for pleasure. Her other interests include watching Aussie Rules Football. Her favourite team is the Adelaide Crows. Go Crows! She also enjoys listening to music, playing pool, watching movies, seeing friends, swimming and exercising.
