Lindsey Gardiner completed her degree in Printed Textiles at Dundee University, and went on to do an MA at Winchester school of Art. She wrote her first book Here Come Poppy and Max (Orchard, 2000) whilst still at college. Lindsey's first book for Random House, DON'T LET THE BAD BUGS BITE!, was published in September 2002.

Jan Ormerod won several awards for her first book, Sunshine. She was born and brought up in Western Australia but now lives in Cambridge with her two daughters.Jan Ormerod’s first picture book, Sunshine, won the Mother Goose Award in 1982 and was highly commended for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Her recent titles include Ben Goes Swimming, Emily Dances, Who’s Who on Our Street?, A Twist in the Tail and Ponko and the South Pole.
