Declan Lee was born in Liverpool, England, to Irish parents in 1973. His whole family is creative and he has been drawing for as long as he can remember. After moving to Australia he studied Illustration at the University of South Australia Underdale Campus. He graduated in 1997 and decided to pursue a career in the visual arts, but even though he had several successful exhibitions he returned to his first passion of illustration. His previously published books include I Went Shopping, The Fish and the Cat, The Fox and the Crow, King Midas, The Billy Goats Gruff and The Woodcutter. Declan lives in Wayville, South Australia. |
